Drift 1 Strategy

The strategy I used was simple. I just alternated right and left turns, but only turned when I felt like it. I thought of it as intuitive navigating.

Flag-Pole Sound

I didnt't plan on recording a sound so soon, but I had the idea to bang a screwdriver against the flagpole in my front yard. The chimming sound was pretty interesting through the headphones. It was really vibrant and had a really gentle tone towards the end of the vibrations. I really enjoyed the result of this recording.  The Sound.

Exhaust Sound

I was walking through an alley when I heard this really gentle humming in the distance. I got closer and noticed it was the ventilator exhaust. The sound was really calm and soothing through the headphones. I didn't really like it when I listened to the playback, so I staggered the left and right mic's to change up the recording. It worked pretty well in my opinion. The sound.

Fence Sound

It was really late when I walked by this house in the Washinton Heights. I heard the gate of the fence chattering from the wind blowing. I went over to th efence to get closer to the sound but the gate stopped moving. I thought that I would move it around to try and recreate the sound. My first attempt sounded a little forced, but I gave it another shot. The second attempt was turned out a lot better. The only thing I did different was be a little more gentle when moving the fence. The sound.

Drip Sound

I was walking by St. Seb's really late and there were no cars driving by. I could clearly hear the water dripping from the gutters and I had to go over and investigate closer. I got up really close to the point it was hitting the snow and thought the sounds were really interesting when you focused in on it. The sound.

Grill Sound

I saw this Broken grill sitting in an alley and had the idea to set the Mic's on the outside of and rubb it with a piece of scrap metal. The sounds ended up being pretty cool. The sound.
