Rough Sketch 5 (Water streaming)

The water streaming was another idea I had to create the impression of movement, but the use of still frames didn't work very well. I believe this sketch just failed on all levels. Anyways, check it out here

Rough sketch 4 (Snow Run)

The snow run was an idea I had to create the clear impression of movement. It ended up being one of the most successful sketches. Check it out here

Rough sketch 3 (Shadow trees)

The idea is pretty simple but also very interesting to watch. The shadows created by the trees are very organic by nature and the fact that it is against a palate of concrete makes for an interesting juxtaposition. Check it out here

Rough Sketch 2 (Close Ups)

These Photos are all shot around the same area at very close range. the idea was to take photos of completely different things and see how well they blend together when they are seen one after the other. Check it out here

Rough Sketch 1 (Man Hole)

Here is the swirling man hole cover in the middle of the street. They are mostly short video clips, but there are a couple still frames. This is the only rough sketch I did that wasn't all still shots. Check it out here

My strategy for Drift 2

So the premise for my second drift was to go againts the flow of the water caused by melting snow. When I felt like I made it to a point where I wanted to return home I began following the flowing form of the shadows caused by the trees.

Drift 1 Strategy

The strategy I used was simple. I just alternated right and left turns, but only turned when I felt like it. I thought of it as intuitive navigating.
